- Rehabilitation Robot Exposure for Heritage Physiotherapy and Rehab Centre Ampang, April 2019.
Description:
• The therapists and patients in Heritage Physiotherapy and Rehab Centre Ampang had the exposure and chance to experience using upper limb rehabilitation robot first handedly.
• Two way interaction were conducted where the therapists and patients were able to ask questions and get more information regarding upper limb rehabilitation robot to IIUM researchers.
2. Biomechatronics Engineering Equipment and Devices Exhibition for Department of Rehabilitation Medicine, University Malaya Medical Centre, 15 September 2015.
Description:
- An exhibition was held for the doctors, section heads and therapists from Department of Rehabilitation Medicine, University Malaya Medical Centre (UMMC).
- The doctors, section heads and therapists were given the chance to see and feel the available bio mechatronics devices and equipment in Kulliyyah of Engineering, IIUM. These include the Human Robot Interaction (HRI) robots, wii Kinect, wearable device, prosthetics hands, rehabilitation machines, EMG, bio-signals and assistive technology equipment.
- They were also able to interact, ask as many questions as they wished and change their views with Kulliyyah of Engineering researchers regarding the engineering equipment used in rehabilitation treatments.
- 12 visitors from UMMC came on the day. 10 students and 18 lecturers were involved in the exhibition.
3. Visit to Department of Rehabilitation Medicine, University Malaya Medical Centre, 14th July 2015
Description:
- 5 lecturers and 1 master student from Department of Mechatronics Engineering, Kulliyyah of Engineering had visited Department of Rehabilitation Medicine, University Malaya Medical Centre (UMMC).
- The researchers from IIUM were able to discuss and exchange their ideas regarding biomectronics engineering and technologies with the doctors and therapists from UMMC
- The researchers from IIUM were brought to see the equipment available in Department of Rehabilitation Medicine. They were able to witness how the therapist and patients were using these equipment.
- They were also able to communicate with some of the patients and ask for their feedback on the machines usage.
4. Visit to Department of Rehabilitation Medicine, Hospital Rehabilitasi Cheras (bringing lecturers), 28th April 2015.
Description:
- 5 lecturers, 1 master student and 1 Phd student from Department of Mechatronics Engineering, Kulliyyah of Engineering had joined the visit to Hospital Rehabilitasi Cheras.
- They were able to see the equipment used for rehabilitation purpose in the hospitals. The therapists had demonstrated the operation of some of the available equipment. The researchers were able to get extensive information on these machines and see some patients undergoing therapies using these devices
5. Visit to Hospital Rehabilitasi Cheras (bringing students), 13th March 2015
Description:
- 5 final year students under the supervision of Dr. Norsinnira Zainul Azlan was brought to visit Hospital Rehabilitasi Cheras. . This visit aimed in helping the students for their final year project.
- The students were given the chance to see rehabilitation devices that were actually used in the hospitals
- They were able to interact with the therapists and get further information on the existing machines for upper and lower limb rehabilitation therapies.
- The students were able to learn about the actual needs in the hospitals and current technologies used for rehabilitation exercises.

11. Barbeque NIGHT FOR BLOK D RESIDRNTS, 30 APRIL 2015, MAHALLAH SAFIYYAH
This program is basically to strengthen the ukhuwah between fellow and residents of Block D specifically. In this programme, the students had cooperated to prepare the foods and BBQ together with other residents of Block D.
12. ZUMBA WEH, 22th September 2015 (First Session), 13th October 2015 (Second Session), 17th November 2015 (Third Session), Activity Room, Mahallah Safiyyah
Mahallah Representative Committee (MRC) of Mahallah Safiyyah has conducted an event which is “Zumba Weh”. This program was held in three sessions. This program is one of the activities conducted by MRC for its Mahallah Safiyyah residents in an effort to promote healthier life style and to make the residents know each other.
13. SEMINAR HARTANAH: HOME OWNERSHIP AND REAL ESTATE INVESTMENT IN MALAYSIA, 14 NOVEMBER 2015, MULTI-PURPOSE ROOM, MAHALLAH SAFIYYAH
This programme is basically to expose the students to the Real estate investing which involves the purchase, ownership, management, rental and/or sale of real estate for profit. The students were also exposed to cash-flow to better equipped them with the surviving skill in the current economic situation
14.KENDURI DOA SELAMAT DAN SOLAT HAJAT PERDANA, 28th November 2015, in front of Multi Purpose Room, Mahallah Safiyyah
Mahallah Representative Committees (MRC) of Mahallah Safiyyah had organized a programme titled “Kenduri Doa Selamat dan Solat Hajat Perdana”. This programme aimed in motivating and helping the students in preparing themselves better for the upcoming final examination. This programme consisted of motivational talk by an expert motivational speaker (Madam Khairiah from Counselling Unit, IIUM), short demonstration on relieve-stress exercise, motivational video shows followed by grand solat hajat, prayer recitation for examination and salam Jemaah. The programme ended with naqibah certificate giving and dinner.
15. LET’S COOK JAPANESE TABEMONO!, 4 APRIL 2015, MULTI PURPOSE ROOM (MPR), MAHALLAH SAFIYYAH
The programme exposed the residents of MahallahSafiyyah on how to make Japanese foods which are sushi, Japanese rice, tempura and misoshiro. It also exposed the students on Japanese eating etiquettes.
